  • A new French recruit

At the heart of the action: Rosalie Schuster, the latest addition to our Sales Division

    The new voice
If you've got questions about 'mousquetons' or 'tiges filetées' (that's 'carabiners' and 'threaded rods' to our English-speaking readers) and would rather receive advice in French about 'produits en acier inoxydable de haute qualité' ('high-quality stainless steel products'), Rosalie Schuster will be the woman on the other end of the phone. She's been part of our Export team in France since the start of this month and will be delighted to advise callers on all our items. Ms Schuster is looking forward to taking your call – and we're looking forward to enjoying a pleasant cooperative relationship with her!
  • News from the Marinetech warehouse

The Logistics team is in a celebratory mood

    One anniversary, two new apprentices
Mr Andreas Dreger, Head of our Logistics Department, is celebrating 20 years at Marinetech this month. This anniversary is certainly very special and we'd like to thank Mr Dreger from the bottom of our hearts for the good times we've had together and for the amazing job he does! But, above all else, we're looking forward to many more years of excellent cooperation!

The same naturally applies to Marvin Heilshorn and Ramil Kraft. These two young men, if we can call them that, started their training as warehouse logistics specialists at Marinetech on 1 August. They'll both sit their journeyman's examination in three years' time. Until then, they'll be attentively joining in, learning, practising and staying on the ball. They can rest assured that the strong Marinetech team is behind them and has their backs. We'll support them where we can and are delighted they're with us!

  • Ausbildung abgeschlossen

Ole's now properly part of the Marinetech community

Our apprentice has passed his final examination

That's clearly a cause for celebration
It's official now! Ole Zwirnmann is now officially a warehouse logistics specialist – with a forklift licence to boot! He's tackled his training with plenty of power and perseverance, and we're absolutely delighted that he's now on the journeyman's side!

We're even more delighted that he's decided to stay on at Marinetech as a warehouse operator, bringing all his enthusiasm and the many skills he acquired during his training along with him. In his future remit, he'll be responsible for our automatic small parts warehouse, among other things.

We celebrated the occasion with a surprise breakfast for everyone! Ole was given a 'special surprise pack' all of his very own that contained his favourite tasty treats – which he naturally had to share with us :-)
Here's to continuing our positive cooperative relationship, Ole!

  • Chair-Hockey Tunier

The Marinetech team at the Chair Hockey Tournament in Bremen

We respect traditions! We also attach a great deal of importance to sporting team spirit outside of working hours.

    To the success report
Hockey on office chairs – what was initially a crazy idea has turned into a serious event over the last ten years. And it's something that we at Marinetech are always very enthusiastic about!
The seventh 'German Chair Hockey Masters' was a resounding success. It was a terrific experience, attracting almost one thousand participants and fans. Once the sporting competitions had come to an end, everyone came together for the after-show party, which was great fun and provided a wonderful opportunity to spend time together – both within the teams and with the other competitors!
This year's event was the first time that a team won the coveted title for the second time. Having already taken the top spot on the podium back in 2011, the 'Chairleader' team from the Fraunhofer Institute for Manufacturing Technology and Advanced Materials (IFAM) repeated this triumph on 10 November in Hall 7 of Bremen Exhibition Centre.
Securing a clear 7:1 victory, the second-time winners prevailed in the final against 'Die Automatisierer' from Aukos. While the atmosphere was very much one of celebration, the focus was really on the charitable cause. The proceeds generated by the seventh 'German Chair Hockey Masters' will be donated to Bremer Fonds e. V. The association devotes its energies to educating and training young people and to working against violence and crime.

    Meet and greet

Marinetech at the METSTRADE Show 2018 in Amsterdam

    How it went
'Mets' is the world's largest B2B trade fair for marine equipment and accessories. It's a show where more than 1,350 exhibitors showcase their services and products.
A large professional audience from all over the world comes together and meets in Amsterdam for three whole days. As a long-time exhibitor, Marinetech is effectively a member of the core team, and each year we look forward to holding exciting and informative discussions with our business partners yet again.
In addition to presenting new products – and our current catalogue – this year our new stand at the trade show mainly dealt with our customers' requests and suggestions. We took a great deal of inspiration and lots of ideas home with us, which we will implement before Mets 2019 comes around!
