When passion, craftsmanship and digital expertise come together, the result is often an unusual path in life. Dariusz Suchowski has followed such a path - and is still on his way to something new.
For many decades, almost everything in his life has revolved around sailing. Almost, because in addition to sailing, he has other exciting stations and experiences under his belt

Dariusz Suchowski is a real career changer at Marinetech. Born and raised in Poland, he initially trained as a commercial artist. He later moved to the north - to Kiel - where he studied fine art. During his studies, he discovered his enthusiasm for digital media and began developing websites and e-commerce stores for himself and others. The business was a success - until the coronavirus pandemic. After that, it was clear to him:
“I want to break new ground again,” he says. During this time, he embarked on an unusual project close to his heart: the publication of the Janosch children's book “Oh, how beautiful is Panama” in Braille with tactile illustrations you can touch. A copy can also be found in the Bremen City Library.

The big turning point came with a job advertisement on the website of the German Boat and Shipbuilders Association (dbsv). “While searching for the designer of my own boat, I came across a job advertisement from Marinetech,” he reports. It was immediately clear to him that this was the perfect opportunity to turn my hobby into a career. A change of course that fits. As a passionate sailor, he has already restored several boats himself. For him, sailing also means: “always improvising and finding new solutions.” And that is exactly what Dariusz Suchowski is good at. As a long-time user and customer, he knew exactly what was important - he practically knew the Marinetech catalog by heart.

Since joining the company in September 2023, he has been a competent contact for our Polish customers - with success: "We have achieved a lot in a short space of time. Polish customers are demanding, but also very loyal." The fact that he comes from Poland himself is a huge advantage: he speaks the language perfectly and knows the culture and economic conditions inside out. "Poland is one of the largest manufacturers of GRP boats in Europe. The demands on quality and pricing are correspondingly high."

In a challenging market environment - with a weak zloty, growing competition and increasing price pressure - it creates what counts: real connections. Between Marinetech and our Polish customers, between German sales strength and Polish production expertise.
